What becomes possible when we stop treating symptoms as isolated problems and begin listening to what the whole person’s ecosystem is communicating?

Join Shari B Kaplan in her introductory workshop as she presents Your Whole-Human Ecosystem Framework™. This is a comprehensive clinical framework for understanding and treating the whole person, the mind, body, brain, nervous system, medical history, relationships, environment, life experiences, and Self.

Within this framework, symptoms are not viewed simply as problems to eliminate. They are understood as meaningful communications and protective adaptations that developed within the person’s ecosystem. By exploring when a symptom began, what was happening in the person’s life and body at the time, what purpose it may have served, and what continues to sustain it, clinicians can begin to understand what the person’s ecosystem has been protecting, and what it is asking them to understand and heal.

The work begins with a comprehensive Neuro-Biopsychosocial assessment and a carefully developed timeline of the person’s life. This process brings together developmental experiences, attachment, trauma, medical and mental health history, family patterns, relationships, environmental influences, significant transitions, strengths, resources, spiritual beliefs and periods of resilience. Rather than examining these elements separately, Your Whole-Human Ecosystem Framework™ reveals how they have interacted over time to shape the person’s present experience.

Participants will be introduced to the Four R’s: Repair, Release, Reorganize, and Rebuild. These phases provide an individualized pathway for helping the person’s ecosystem move from protection and survival toward greater regulation, integration, connection, and alignment with Self.

Designed for mental health and healthcare professionals, this workshop offers a more comprehensive approach to assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment planning. Clinicians will learn:

- How to look beyond diagnosis

- Properly connecting the patients' history with what is happening in the present.

- Essential things to identify what must be addressed across the ecosystem for meaningful and sustainable healing to occur.
